Ignite Technology ValueOps Summit 2022 MEA
The last 2 years have certainly been difficult, especially regarding in-person meetings and events, so we were delighted that many of the region’s leading organisations across a variety of market segments were able to attend the Ignite Technology ValueOps Summit on May the 18th at the Park Hyatt Dubai.
The event was a great opportunity to gather our regional community of Clarity customers into a room to share ideas, network and showcase how Clarity can add to add value to our customers and the broader PPM community throughout the region. At Ignite we’re laser-focused on adding value above and beyond our software and services.
The event was co-sponsored by our partners at MBCOM and SER Group with Broadcom’s Advisor Marc Leijten delivering sessions and SER Group showcasing the Clarity/DOXIS PCM Integration.
The event gave insights into the following-
- How Value Stream Management can drive business agility
- Clarity’s Product Strategy & Roadmap
- How a leading bank has automated its Resource Management process
- How you can automate key business processes through the integration of PPM & PCM
After some morning coffee on arrival the event began at 9.30 am with a welcome message from Ignites CEO Roger Tunnard, followed by an introduction to the event by the host, Ignites VP & GM for the Middle East and Africa, Jamie Wallace.
The first 2 sessions were delivered by Broadcom’s Advisor Marc Leijten. The first of the sessions looked at the road ahead for Clarity with the second session addressing how to add value to value stream management. This VSM session was extremely insightful and thought-provoking for the audience with many attendees requesting follow up sessions.
After the event, we spoke to Marc Leijten who said –
“Presenting at the Ignite MEA summit is always a great experience, the event is well organised, and the audience is truly engaged and very interactive.
This event always excels by an engaged audience that is very much interested in how their organisations can yield the benefits of deploying Broadcom’s technology. Even the breaks are used to go just a little deeper into the matter and discuss options for getting the most value out of our technology.
Even though Value Stream Management is not a prime focus in the Middle East yet, the audience was very engaged and seemed to be inspired by the concept.”

A break for lunch was followed by a roundtable discussion on Project Content Management (PCM) and an interactive survey hosted by Jamie Wallace. It was clear from the interactive survey that there is a real opportunity to improve efficiencies with greater automation between Projects and their Content.
The integration between Clarity and DOXIS addresses this current challenge and the stage-gate use case integration demo received great feedback and interest. The integration of SER Group’s intelligent DOXIS content automation platform with Clarity accelerates the delivery of project and portfolio outcomes by enabling radical control and visibility for project teams and boosting productivity through enterprise-grade workflow automation.

In one of the final sessions of the day, we were delighted to have Madhavi Ashwin, Head of Portfolio Governance & Assurance at First Abu Dhabi Bank deliver a customer case study session. Madhavi is an experienced Information Technology Governance Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the banking industry and an Ignite Technology advocate, partnering in delivering Innovative PPM solutions at FAB since 2019.
Madhavi provided insights into the background of Clarity at FAB, the top 4 resource management opportunities, the Clarity solution and the key benefits of the Solution (FAB’s Value Realisation).
The event closed with Ben Raper, Ignites – Success Director (Value Ops) providing an Ignite services update followed by closing remarks from Jamie Wallace.
Jamie, who was the host of the event said –
“It was fantastic to be able to engage face to face with our customers again, we have really missed that. I am delighted with how the content was embraced by our attendees; we take great care to curate an agenda that will add maximum value to the audience.
However, the real “secret sauce” of events like this comes from the interactions between peers. The sharing of ideas and experiences between industry leaders really does elevate the value of the event.
I am already excited for our next event and seeing how this community continues to thrive.”
