Planview Anvi, and why we're excited to build with it

I’ve seen a lot of AI features launch across the platforms we work with, and most of them are nice extras. Planview Anvi is one of the ones that actually changes what a portfolio team can do day to day, and I don’t say that lightly.
Anvi sits inside Planview AdaptiveWork and Portfolios and (it used to be called Copilot, in case the name rings a bell). It flags a resourcing problem or a timeline risk early, often well before it would have shown up in the next status meeting.
It lets a portfolio manager ask a question about their own data in plain English and get a straight answer, instead of building a report first. And it can take on a lot of the routine reporting itself, the executive summary, the status update, the stuff that used to eat a Friday afternoon.
Drawing on Real Organisational Context
What makes it genuinely good, rather than just a nice demo, is what it’s built on. Anvi draws on real organisational context, not just a generic model bolted onto your data. Set it up properly, connected to the same governance your portfolio already runs on, and it starts doing something genuinely valuable, surfacing drift and risk while there’s still time to act on it, not after the fact.
That last part, setting it up properly, is where we come in, and it’s the part I’m most excited about. We configure Anvi as part of every Planview implementation we deliver, connecting it across the tools it needs data from and making sure what it surfaces maps to the outcomes your leadership team has already agreed matter.
Done well, that turns Anvi from a helpful assistant into something closer to an early warning system for the whole portfolio, and getting it dialled in properly is real, valuable implementation work.
